Hoppy Easter layout (for BBTB2)

Happy Monday!  I'm looking forward to Easter this weekend-our family is planning a big get-together with BBQ after church!  And on Saturday night, I will have a bunch of teenagers dying Easter eggs in my kitchen.  Apparently you never get too big to dye eggs.

Our BBTB2 challenge this week is to use a bunny on a project and I am all about the bunnies this week, between my paper and cute little bunny from Create A Critter.  My bunny is collecting carrots for his Easter lunch, so he has a whole basket full.  (I added some of the little spring flowers because my yard is full of daffodils!)  The cute paper is from the Doodlebug Spring Time collection-I couldn't resist the bunnies!  I hope you'll check out all the DT projects over at BBTB2 and link up your project for us to see this week :)!

Viva Mexico layout (for BBTB2)

Happy Monday!  Did you have a good weekend?  I did-the weather was fabulous, I had the weekend off of work, AND I got to go to the Maroon 5 concert Saturday night for a date night with my hubby!!!  I'm not really ready to face real life yet…. lots of diet Coke on tap for today to help me cope, lol!  But on to more crafty pursuits!

Our BBTB2 challenge this week is to use a frame on a project.  My Viva Mexico layout is for some vacation pictures for an upcoming cruise stop in Cozumel.  My hubby and I are getting ready to take a cruise in April for our 19th wedding anniversary-just the two of us!  We have been away from the kids overnight only a handful of times, so this is a REALLY big deal!!!!  I know I will take lots of pictures sightseeing, so I was browsing the Ole cartridge and found this really cool frame.   The middle layer is quite intricate, so I would recommend using spray adhesive to stick it down instead of a glue pen like I did.  I was really happy with how my layout turned out, as I was going for fun and colorful.  There is a smorgasbord of frames to see over at BBTB2, so take a look and link up a project!

Lucky card (for BBTB2)

Happy St. Patrick's Day tomorrow!  Our BBTB2 challenge this week is to use a shamrock.  I used the card feature on the A Child's Year cartridge, cutting the first piece (the print paper) which has the cool scalloped edges and shamrock cutouts at 5 1/2 inches and then used the shift key to cut the solid green undercard.  I added a little shamrock (one of the icon cuts) to the inside.  The sentiment Lucky comes from the Family Album cartridge, cut at 3 inches.  I hope you all have a fabulous week with some spring sunshine and fun!  My boys are on spring break from school this week, so I am really looking forward to hanging out at home with them.  :)

@CoolCat card (for BBTB2)

Happy Monday!  Our BBTB2 challenge this week is to use a birdcage.  I've never made anything with  a birdcage before, so I had to do some searching using My Cut Search to find cartridges with birdcages…most of which I don't have.  To my surprise, I did find an adorable birdcage on the Meow cartridge, with a cat inside and the bird on top!  This is so totally our cat that I had to laugh and gave me the idea for my @coolcat #yougotthis card.  The sentiments are from a cute Stampin Up set full of hashtags.  Check out the birdcage projects from the design team at BBTB2 and link up a project to share!

Lots of Laughs layout (for BBTB2)

Happy Monday!  It's been a cold, snowy weekend here in KC!  I was working on one of the upper floors of the hospital this weekend and it was rather pretty watching the snow come down, until I had to make the long, cold walk to my car!  My boys were disgusted that it keeps snowing only on weekends so that they haven't had any snow days off from school, lol!

Our BBTB2 challenge this week is to use a cartridge we haven't used in a LONG time.  Well, I have a number of cartridges that would probably qualify for that distinction, so I had a little rock, paper, scissors action to narrow it down and the Paisley cartridge came out the winner.  It is one of the first few cartridges I ever bought and one of my favorites.  Truthfully, I have a lot of cartridges, but since I scrapbook A LOT, I can't say any of them go unused very long.  I have my favorites that I use the most, but I try to make the most of my collection of images by using them all.

This lots of laughs layout is for fun, lighthearted pictures from a big family gathering over the holiday season, with lots of people laughing and talking, but I think could work for pictures for almost any occasion.  I love all the whimsical animals on Paisley and I also added some of the actual paisley cuts, which I've never cut before.  For the words, I used the blackout feature in addition to the shadow to get extra color contrast to make the words pop.  The print paper is two sheets leftover of an old My Minds' Eye collection.  The design team has projects from their long unused cartridges that you can see and we'd love you to show us your project with an old friend of a cartridge over at BBTB2 this week!
